SGRM Gold TMT Bars are manufactured conforming to the improved standards, IS: 1786 Grade Fe415 & of BIS of India.

The features of SGRM Gold TMT are :

Strength : SGRM Gold TMT bars are of grade Fe : 415. These TMT bars are much stronger than conventional CTD Bars and give upto 20% stronger concrete structure with same quantity of steel.

Elongation : More strength with higher elongation is one of the unique features of SGRM Gold TMT Bars. It makes a Concrete structure not only sound but safe also. SGRM Gold TMT Bars shows upto 50% more elongation than conventional CTD bars without compromising on strength which makes it safe in earthquake prone areas.

Bend Properties:

Due to unique feature of elongation SGRM Gold TMT Bars display many times better bend/re-bend properties which makes it not only easy to work but safe in hazardous situations.

Weld-Ability: SGRM Gold TMT Bars with low carbon content can be used for butt and other weld joints without reduction in strength at the weld joints.

High Bonding Strength: The Re-Bars have more prominent ribs and thus have higher AR value than traditional CTD Bars or normal TMT Re-Bars. This leads to higher bond strength of the Re-bars in concrete. SGRM Gold TMT Re-Bars are 100-150% greater in value as compared to mild steel bars.

Unique Corrosion Resistance: The Thermo Mechanical Treatment Process results in a uniform and thick tempered martensitic rim. The Re-bars are free from Internal stress, which result in superior corrosion resistant characteristics compared to the traditionally cold-twisted bars, SGRM Gold TMT Re-Bars have comparatively better corrosion properties compared to other TMT Re-Bars.

Earthquake Resistant: SGRM Gold TMT Strength and ductility exceeds the minimum level specified by IS: 1786 standards. While normal yields strength specifies 415N / mm2 SGRM Gold TMT has a yield strength of 450/mm2 which ensures stronger homes.

The Thermo Mechanical Treatment Process and Results

A Cooling System is installed after the last Rolling Mill Stand. The sudden drop in temperature converts the surface layer of the steel bar to a hardened structure. This phase of intensive cooling by the Thermex based System is followed by further cooling in atmosphere, so that the temperature between the core (which is still hot) and the cooled surface layer is equalized. The surface layer gets tempered by the heat from the core. The resulting structure is a tempered outer surface with a soft inner core.
